About Nathan Blaylock

Over the Years, I have been extremely interested in design in many different forms. Growing up I loved art and building. You would commonly find me making mud houses outside or a tower of blocks in the basement. In high school I found myself in a photography class learning the basics of Photoshop. When I learned that graphic design was a prospective job, I was sold and decided to pursue a degree in it. I attended Snow College earning an associate’s degree in art, and continued to Utah State University earning a bachelor’s degree in design, computer science, and multimedia development. Currently, I am finishing up my master’s degree in Learning Technology and Instructional Design with an emphasis in user experience design.

I have had the great opportunity to gain experience through mentors, volunteering, and employment. The first chance that I had to demonstrate my design skills was with the Logan LDS Institute of Religion, where as the VP for Publicity I lead a small team to promote activities and events, attracting sometimes over 2000 students. This experience helped me land my first design job with the Emma Eccles Jones College of Education and Human Services, where I began doing graphic design for public relations. Over the months this transitioned into a full time multimedia specialist position for the Dean’s Office where I currently design for the college as well as develop multiple large websites alongside the Sr. Web Developer.
